The Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia (VNCA) reached out to us wanting to improve collaboration, governance, and accessibility across VNCA’s national and regional operations.

The goal was to consolidate scattered data across multiple SharePoint sites, Teams folders, and user accounts into a unified, secure, and scalable SharePoint environment and improve sharing data with external users and guest users.

LOCATION: National office as well as State divisions​​

 

SCOPE OF WORK 

 

Data Consolidation: Migrated content from over 40 fragmented SharePoint sites and Teams channels.

 

New Site Architecture: Created structured SharePoint sites for National Office, State Divisions (NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, WA), Committees and Sponsorship Agreements.

 

Communication Site: Established a central communication site and linked all other sites to main hub site.

Permissions Management:

  • Standardised inherited permissions across most sites.

  • Created unique security groups for sensitive folders.

  • Assigned admin roles to designated users as per organisational structure.

 

Teams Integration: Migrated relevant Teams content into corresponding SharePoint folders. Where applicable, Teams channels were linked or archived.

 

Archives: Archived and verified all legacy SharePoint site data into a dedicated and isolated site and organised content in a structured format based on site. 

 

Training & Documentation: Delivered targeted training sessions for both administrators and end users after the migration was completed.

  • Admin Training: Provided step-by-step guides on how to invite guest users, assign appropriate permissions, and manage access to specific files and folders.

  • User Training: Offered clear instructions on how to navigate the new SharePoint structure, access relevant documents, and use Teams-integrated folders effectively.

 

Solution: Introduce and implement an advanced inventory management system with comprehensive support for food manufacturing.

 

  • Define and digitise recipes into bill of materials

  • Convert materials and final products into database items

  • Implement batch tracking processes

  • Integrate with the Xero accounting software and online sales platform
